Our values are Vermont values.

Vermont Working Families Party believes that there's a lot that unites us -- the need for decent jobs and reliable health coverage, for clean water and quality education. But on those issues, lots of politicians are all talk.

We're building a new party because to put our issues first. And to hold politicians accountable for what they say on the issues that matter most to us. Here's what we believe:

People who are willing to work hard and play by the rules should be able to make enough to have a decent standard of living. We can invest in our local economy to create good jobs here, not just low-wage, no-benefit jobs. Everybody deserves to be taken care of when they're sick, without going broke. Every child deserves a first rate education.

We think that those who make the most should pay the most in taxes to support hospitals, schools, roads and the vital services we all count on. We believe we have an obligation to protect the most vulnerable and an opportunity to grow and sustain the middle class.

Healthcare for all. Our current healthcare system is fundamentally unjust and shockingly innefficient. (Read more.)
